Expression of Thanks

Thanks to the engagement and financial support of various institutes, the present guidelines could be prepared. Under the auspices of the Verwaltungs- und Privat-Bank Aktiengesellschaft, Vaduz (VP Bank) and, in particular, their representatives, Hans Brunhart, President of the Administrative Committee and, Gebhard Frick, Vice-director and and last but not least Wilfried Kaufmann, the "pro natura – pro ski Foundation" could be created. It has financed this project to a large extent and functions as its principle supporter.

Further, Liechtenstein, the Environmental Advisory Board of the German Ski Federation / The Foundation for Safety in Ski-sport, the Foundation Propter Homines, Vaduz, the Binding Foundation, Schaan and the Foundation Baronial Councillor of Commerce Guido Feger, Vaduz, have all supported this project with substantial financial contributions.

The financial and idealistic engagement of the ski areas concerned e.g. Malbun (FL), Schladming (A) and Adelboden (CH) is also to be commended. Without doubt they have made a substantial contribution to its inception. Valuable background information could be collected in the many discussions. The individuals, who stand behind the cooperating ski areas, have also shaped and supported the target discussions as well as the preparation of concrete measures. In this way, the project could benefit from the well-founded knowledge of these specialists.

The members of the Advisorary Board Foundation accompanied the project professionally. The constant contact with these persons and the constructive criticism in all phases of the project provided valuable impulses. They influenced the work for the individual ski areas as well as that for the guidelines.

In this context, we must also thank the many local experts who, with their experience, made a substantial contribution to the success of the project.
